People Say Monasticism Is Unbiblical… They’re Wrong Monasticism is one of the most misunderstood parts of Christianity. Does Scripture actually command anyone to go into the desert? Is the monastic life biblical, or is it just a later tradition? And if Christians are called to preach, serve, and be in the world, then why would anyone leave everything behind for the wilderness?
